The Limouzin from Bouzereau is richer in style, with ripe apple, butter and hazelnut notes. Although the palate has more weight, the wine still shows great elegance and finesse. Jean-Baptiste Bouzereau describes it as a mix of Meursault and Puligny. The grapes are from 0.4ha that were recently replanted using massal selection; they are gently pressed before fermentation and ageing in cask (25% new) for a year. This wine will open soon after bottling for early consumption, but it is also suitable for mid-term ageing.(CC)

Pale colour. A solid, more powerful nose, perhaps less finesse than Grands Charrons. The oak shows notably more at the moment though doubtless a passing phase. Medium plus persistence. Replanted in 2018. Drink from 2027-2030. Tasted Oct 2024.

The 2023 Meursault Limozin sports some reduction on the nose, with touches of beeswax and chamomile gradually emerging and joining the orchard fruit. The palate is balanced with a keen thread of acidity and a pleasing frisson on the finish. There is a little more tension and detail than the Les Grands Chartron. Promising.(NM)

A classic Meursault nose that is both ripe and fresh leads to gorgeously textured, indeed caressing, flavors that retain good punch and length on the balanced and slightly firmer finale. In the same fashion as the Grands Charrons, this is not especially dense but I like the finesse and overall sense of refinement.*Burghound Outstanding Top Value!*
