This special barrel from the fabulous underrated distillery near Aberlour is from stocks we've been bottling for many decades. We didn't select this specifically for K&L, but we have managed to get an incredible deal on this special whisky for our customers. We selected our first 1997 Dailuaine at Signatory way back in 2013 and these stocks have continued to turn out excellent casks over the last decade. Now, 12 years later the stocks are fully matured and presenting some of the most delicious old school Speyside character on the market. A nicely aged cask strength Speysider in high quality refill hogshead for $200 is truly a rarity. We've previously sold two 27 year Dailuaine in our history, way back in 2010, and they cost exactly $200 each - two 1983s from Masters Of Malts and & an exclusive cask from Chieftain's. Being able to match pricing from 15 years ago on the shelf today is what K&L is all about. This gorgeous juicy cask of Dailuaine was distilled on May 25th of 1997 and bottled without chillfiltration at a natural cask strength of 46.6% abv on November 11th, 2024.
