Domaine Lafarge-Vial has now added the name of the lieu à dit to the label for their bottlingof Côte de Brouilly. The vineyard of Brulhié lies just above and alongside of Château Thivin onthe slope, with an exposition facing due south. The wine has turned out splendidly in the 2023 vintage, offering up a gorgeous nose of red plums, cherries, sweet cranberries, bonfire, stony soiltones, gamebird, peonies and an exotic touch of red curry in the upper register. On the palate thewine is deep, full-bodied and complex, with great transparency down to its soil, buried tannins,tangy acids and a long, perfectly balanced and vibrant finish. Great juice. 2028-2055+.
