Lots of Burgundy makes Aaron a happy lad. This is just beautiful through and through, and what kind of comes to mind generally when I envision what Burgundy means to me. The nose is soft and pretty, there's nothing that's jumping out of the glass, but it's being a coy lil guy and makes you search but every little bit of searching is worth it, getting more and more depth from the wine. There's some nice floral notes, a little bit of rosehips, and then there's just really clean and pure pretty and slightly crunchy fruit. There's raspberries, cranberry skin, pomegranate, and a little bit of strawberry in the very back. The palate is definitely on the lighter side, and there's such lovely acidity and balance with the soft tannin structure, it's just great. The fruit is brighter and a little more cranberry and pie cherry focused than compared to the nose, but there's a solid through-line that makes it all make complete sense. I could see this with chicken, salmon, and even some pork dishes with the rice saucing and cuts.
