Medium deep ruby purple in colour. A little fruit weight on the nose, but this is far from being a heavyweight. In contrast, the palate offers a depth of dark raspberry fruit, livened up by crisp white pepper from the whole bunches, not as yet fully integrated. There is definite promise though. The 2023 Nuits Saint-Georges Aux Cras 1er Cru is quite backward on the nose. The 40% whole bunch here lends freshness, with touches of pine and bergamot infusing the red fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a harmonious entry, mineral-rich red fruit notes, fine grip and a touch of spice on the finish. What a wonderful Aux Cras this is going to be!(NM)

Coming from 70-plus year old vines planted in 1951, 1955 and 1958, these vines sit just below the domaine's La Richemone. Crunchy and tangy cranberries, raspberries and rhubarb dominate the palate. The fruit purity is impeccable. Zippy acidity and lightly dry tannins deliver the robust fruit into a solid finish.
