Review Date: 01/2025A darker purple and perhaps an inkier style to the fruit, as much dark raspberry as strawberry. Then a leaner acidity, this is not quite so homogenous today. A little black fruit at the finish. Less whole bunches to liven it up. Pascal will give it a longer elevage instead. Drink from 2029-2035. Tasted Nov 2024.

The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Murots is dense and blocky, offering up aromas of smoky berries and cherries followed by a medium to full-bodied, richly tannic palate.(WK)

The 2023 Gevrey-Chambertin Aux Murots, which contains 20% whole bunch, has a pretty nose. It's a little backward at first, unfurling in the glass with black cherries and wild strawberry fruit notes. The palate is medium-bodied with smooth tannins and hints of black cherries mixed with touches of fig and salted licorice. It's perhaps a little too sweet on the finish compared to Mugneret's other cuvées.(NM)
