An icon of Auvergne's gastronomic heritage, Pagès Verveine du Velay combines local vervain (lemon verbena) with a delicious bouquet of plants and spices. Verveine du Velay Jaune is a gentle vervain liqueur with a dash of honey. It takes some 18 months to create this liqueur using three key steps: maceration, distillation and ageing in oak barrels. Dating back to 1859, this is one of the best substitutes for Yellow Chartreuse, which gets harder and harder to find nowadays.
