The 2017 La Croix Saint Christophe begins with aromatics of ripe black cherries and blackberries, which come together with spring florals, florals, exotic spices and hints of mineral nuances all taking shape. On the palate this is medium- to full-bodied and beautifully polished with excellent depth. It possesses a core or ripe red and dark fruits which is lifted by a lovely underlying acidity, that drives it into the finish. This is an excellent wine that is already drinking fantastic. (JD)
