Review Date: 05/2024This wine is among the most outstanding values in Burgundy, and the 2023 vintage does not disappoint. There is a great purity to the red and black fruit character, accented with floral notes and a bit of peppery spice. The structure is silky, yet not lacking structure or grip; this is a wine that places the emphasis on finesse and elegance. The grapes are from nearly a hectare owned by the domaine at the top of the slope above La Tâche. Even though it is right next to Aux Reignots, it is classified as villages.(CC)

Note: from a .93 ha parcel of 60+ year old vines. This is also quite floral in character with its elegant, airy and slightly spicier mix of both red and dark pinot fruit. The racy and strikingly well-detailed middle weight flavors once again brim with minerality that adds a sense of lift to the balanced, long and moderately compact finale where a subtle bitter pit fruit character eventually emerges.*Burghound Outstanding!*

The 2023 Vosne-Romanée Les Champs Perdrix has an open and generous bouquet, nicely poised, with light floral scents in the background. The palate is well balanced with chalky tannins, bright red fruit and a note of orange rind toward the finish. This has an easy-drinking personality.(NM)
