Review Date: 01/2025Usually coming from 8 plots, but as François has made more parcellaire bottlings in 2023 there are just 6 this year. Mid lemon yellow, slightly toasty. Clearly stricter after the Chassagnes. Nicely balanced, with medium generosity and length. The class shows at the finish, with precision. Drink from 2027-2030. Tasted Oct 2024.

Note: from 7 different lieux-dits that total a whopping 5 ha, though because the parcel of Levrons has been pulled up, there will be 7 different vineyards for the next few years. A deft but not imperceptible application of wood surrounds the ripe and vaguely exotic aromas of white peach, poached pear and pretty acacia wisps. Here too the mouthfeel of the medium-bodied flavors is plush, round and generous, indeed almost thick, while exhibiting solid length on the sappy finish where a touch of warmth eventually surfaces. Note that this could easily be enjoyed young.
