2023 Patricia Green "Chehalem Mountain Vineyard" Chehalem Mountains Pinot Noir
95
Jeb Dunnuck
The ruby/magenta 2023 Pinot Noir Chehalem Mountain Vineyard is expressive and has a lovely wild touch with notes of sappy mountain herbs, sage oils, blackberries, fresh lavender, and wet stones. The palate is fantastic and medium to full-bodied, with ripe tannins and a long finish with notes of leather. It’s a pleasure to drink now, but will only improve as it leans into its more umami and maitake tones. Drink 2025-2040.

The 2023 Pinot Noir Chehalem Mountain Vineyard is savory in the glass, mixing earth tones and sous bois with wet stone and wild strawberries. Lifted and spry, it offers crisp wild berry fruit and nuances of sour citrus guided by fresh acidity. The finish tapers off with medium length, leaving rosy inner florals and a tart, sour berry tinge. (EG)
