Int'l Wine Review
Looking for a top-quality Grenache from Washington State that will compete on the world stage? Look no further than the 2021 Estate Grenache from Weathereye Vineyards. Fermented with about 30% whole cluster fruit to give it some added body and peppery spice, it sports a medium glistening ruby core with a lighter pink rim. Only about 160 cases were made. Highly recommended.

The 2021 WeatherEye Grenache underwent 30% whole cluster fermentation. Stored in large format French oak for 18 months. This comes from several blocks of Grenache across the property. Soft, refined and plush, this delivers very concatenated red and dark fruit flavors alongside coffee grounds and sagebrush tones. Totally stunning and generous in its fleshy youth, enjoy now and over the next twelve years. Drink 2024-2036.

This wine is a love letter to the Grenache grape. The aromatics are as fun as a cat purring in your ear, with macerated strawberries, orange zest and pine needle aromas holding court. The wine's rich cassis flavors are punctuated by notes of clove and citrus. The wine feels so elegant and clean in the mouth, it is a joy to sip. *Editors' Choice* (MA)

The 2021 Grenache Estate is exotic and perfumed, with wild strawberry-like fruits, ground pepper, bouquet garni, and sandalwood. Beautifully textured, medium to full-bodied, and elegant on the palate, it has some classic Red Mountain minerality, ripe tannins, and a great finish. It's a brilliant example of Red Mountain Grenache to drink over the coming 10-12 years.
