D.R. Stephens Winery was founded by Don Stephens in 1996 after a successful business career and a lifelong passion for wine. He purchased a 35-acre property on Howell Mountain Road in Napa Valley and planted the Moose Valley Vineyard, named after his wife’s nickname. The estate focuses on small-lot, ultra-premium wines, especially Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc, grown on diverse soils. The winery’s legacy is now carried on by Don’s son, Justin.
