2024 Alzinger "Ried Kreutlesl" Grüner Veltliner Smaragd Wachau

The 2024 Grüner Veltliner Kreutles Smaragd marks the first time this wine has been made, due to a change in leased sites. Like its predecessor Mühlpoint, it grows on gneiss debris with loam. A touch of ripe pear is surprisingly open and aromatic, followed by tender yeastiness. The palate is lithe and juicy, yet beautifully balanced in juiciness and slender freshness, with some zestiness on the finish.(AK)
