The 2023 Syrah Winds of Change is the most potent of the three Syrahs I tasted for this report. Dark and brooding, with serious intensity, the 2023 has a lot to offer. A blast of plum, blackberry, dried herbs, licorice, saddle leather and tobacco makes a strong opening statement. This virile cool-climate Syrah has a ton to offer.

Winery Notes: "2023 Winds of Change Syrah is equal parts Sky Vineyard, Shake Ridge Ranch, and Graves Vineyard. The wine was fermented with 40% whole cluster and 5% Viognier and raised in a combination of 500-liter and 228-liter barrels with just the slightest kiss of oak."
