The 2021 Merlot is composed of 81% Merlot, 14% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Cabernet Franc, and 1% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it motors out with pronounced notes of juicy plums and black raspberries, leading to hints of tar, unsmoked cigars, and dusty soil. The medium to full-bodied palate reveals expressive plum and earthy flavors with a light chewiness to the texture and a savory lift on the finish. (LPB)
