The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Sonoma Valley comes from the Moon Mountain District (65%) and Sonoma Valley (35%). It's blended with 4% Malbec and 1% Cabernet Franc, and the wine was matured for 22 months in 90% new oak. Its aromas blossom slowly, with a core of Morello cherry accented by pretty tones of dried thyme, cigars, soy sauce, leather and grilled game meats. The full-bodied palate is firm and concentrated yet light on its feet with alluringly restrained ripeness, satisfying freshness and a long, spicy finish. It's very youthful and somewhat coiled and will reward cellaring. 1,599 cases were produced. (EB)
