The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Monte Rosso Vineyard is laced with bright, lifted aromatics. Medium in body yet deep, the 2021 has a lot to offer. It is an especially high-toned wine that speaks to the essence of site. Vibrant acids really capture the personality of Monte Rosso. All it needs is a bit of time in bottle. (AG)

The single-varietal 2021 Monte Rosso Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon was tasted as a barrel sample, due to be bottled in February 2024. Deep garnet-purple in color, it comes barreling out with bold notes of creme de cassis, plum preserves, and boysenberries followed by wafts of cigar box, vanilla pod, and Chinese five spice. On the full-bodied palate, the concentrated black fruit preserves flavors are lifted by a racy backbone with firm, grainy tannins to support, finishing with epic length. (LPB)
