The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Ranch is, as always, a bit riper than the Allen Price. Here, the later ripening of this site was actually a benefit, as this fruit weathered the intense heat pretty well. Dark cherry, spice, leather, licorice, graphite and dried herbs all take shape with a bit of aeration. (AG)

Mostly clone 7 from this great site on the east side of Oakville, the deep ruby-hued Patria 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Ranch offers a rock-solid bouquet of red and black fruits, spicy herbs, chocolate, and sappy flowers. It's medium to full-bodied, has a pure, elegant mouthfeel, fine tannins, the vintage's ripe, expressive style, and outstanding length. This ethereal, perfumed, complex 2022 will drink nicely over the coming 10-15 years.

There are just over 200 cases of Patria's 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Oakville Ranch is a round, lush, full-bodied black-cherry bomb of a wine. It's creamy and plush across the mid-palate, then adds some softly dusty tannins on the lingering finish. (JC)

Sourced from the Oakville Ranch vineyard, perched above Dalla Valle and Peter Michael’s Oakville Estate, this wine delivers the power and intensity expected from this site. Bright herbal aromatics lift a well-balanced acid profile, complementing rich red berry fruit, exotic brown spices, and a tapestry of graphite-driven minerality. Succulent dark berry fruit is elegantly framed by gentle, well-integrated tannins, creating a refined yet expressive wine. Tony Biagi founded Patria in 2013 out of a love for Cabernet Sauvignon, Oakville Ranch fruit, and organic farming. (JC)

I really like this, this is really refined and elegant style of Napa Cabernet Sauvignon, that's just super generous and easy. The fruit is a little creamy and really pretty and ripe with cassis, lots of cherry, blackberry, cigar box, toast, and touches of pencil shavings. There's really lovely fruit but a powerful line of French oak pushes through as well, bringing this really lovely harmony and balance to everything, I feel like without the oak it would come across a bit sweet but the whole package ends up perfect for this style of wine. This is bigger and bolder and unabashedly Napa, but I feel that it brings more sophistication and panache than your average bear.
