The 2022 Alsace Grand Cru Wineck-Schlossberg Riesling opens with an intensely fruity but refined and floral bouquet with saline notes. On the palate, this is a round and generously lush but very elegant, refined, saline and finely tannic but balanced Riesling from granite soils. The finish is clear and stimulating. This is a very charming Riesling for those who fear the grape's pronounced acidity. There are fine tannins here instead of a raciness, and the acidity, after malolactic fermentation, comes ripe and crystalline, with mineral verve. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork.
