2023 Los Tercos Bonarda Mendoza
Notes
Tercos Winery is run by brothers Pedro and Patricio Santos, sons of renowned Argentine winemaker Ricardo Santos, who helped to introduce Malbec to the international market,. Bonarda is Argentina’s second most widely planted grape after Malbec. It is believed to be the same variety as Charbono, which is indigenous to Piedmont in Northern Italy, and was most likely brought to Argentina by Italian immigrants. The vineyards for the Tercos Bonarda are located on the slopes of Tupungato in the Andes, one of the region’s highest altitudes, where warm days and cool nights create ideal growing conditions.
