Domaine du Salvard, run by five generations of the Delaille family since 1898, is now managed by brothers Emmanuel and Thierry with their father Gilbert, who have upheld tradition while introducing sustainable farming and modern winemaking. Their 42 hectares in Cheverny focus on fresh, lively Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay as well as aromatic reds from Pinot Noir, Gamay, and Cot. Salvard’s wines are celebrated for their classic, elegant style and exceptional value, especially since Cheverny achieved A.O.C. status in 1993. The Blanc is a blend of 85% Sauvignon Blanc and 15% Chardonnay grown on chalk, limestone and sandy soils. The vines range from 10 to 65 years of age. All wines are vinified in stainless steel tanks and aged on their fine lees.
