This wine reminded me why I love the Italians- they know how to enjoy a simple glass of wine just as much as a complex one. It’s packed with red fruit, black cherry, a touch of vanilla, and warm spice. The tannins are ripe and smooth, balanced by a pleasant tartness and just a hint of sweetness on the finish. Medium-bodied and nicely textured, it coats your mouth with juicy, jammy flavors. This is the kind of wine you can open any day, with no special reason needed- easy, fun, and deeply colored. At this price point, it’s definitely becoming a regular at my house.
