The 2023 Ohligsberg Kabinett, as it is referred on the consumer label, was made from vines planted in 1971 on single pole and grapes harvested at 77° Oechsle in the lower part (close to the Mosel River) of the vineyard and was fermented down to fruity-styled levels of residual sugar (47 g/l). It offers a superbly flowery and refined nose of lily flower, fine almond, jasmine, lime, and orange blossom. The wine proves layered and refined on the zesty and pure palate. There is a hint of juicy yellow fruits coming through, yet the finish is nicely straight and pure. This is a beautiful drinking Kabinett. 2031-2043.(06/2024)
