Rounded and creamy aromas of strawberry and raspberry sorbet are dusted in pepper, thyme and crushed stone on the lavish nose of this bottling. The palate sizzles with acidity and peppery spices, as the lush raspberry curd and pomegranate juice core proves vivid deep into the finish. (MK)

Licorice root and soy sauce on the nose start this off on a darkly savory note. Sanguine flavors are structured with concentrated, lengthy tannins. Powerful with dark berries and scorched earth, yet a thread of elegance rides through it all into the crunchy finish.

There's this really singular kind of pretty cherry note that hits me before the rest of the nose, and I find myself chasing that with sniff after sniff, but I have to actually reset myself to find it again, it's this really fun kind of frustration. The rest of the nose is equally lovely, there's a little bit of citrus zest that accompanies an overripe raspberry and some dusty cherries, before I get a touch of something that reminds me a lot of my Grandma's rhubarb custard, slightly sour and red but with a little bit of a creamy note in the back as well. This is really fun and really well made Pinot Noir that brings everything that you want Sta Rita Hills to you. I want to have this with some ribs, beef or pork I don't care, I just want ribs. And this wine. Together.
