The 2023 Girlan "Marna" Chardonnay Alto Adige is a crystalline and pure white wine that takes its name from the marl-rich soils (marna) of the Oltradige hillside vineyards. On the nose, it is bright and evocative, offering a precise mix of green apples, tangerine peel, and lemon zest layered with subtle notes of chamomile, sour cream, and wet limestone. The palate is medium-bodied and exceptionally well-knit, balancing a ripe core of yellow plum and citrus with a zippy, vibrating acidity and a distinct salty underpinning.
