Mueller Family Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon began when Dr. Frank Mueller and his wife Angie planted vines on Diamond Mountain after receiving 250 Cabernet Sauvignon vines as a gift, eventually producing their first vintage in 2007 from their small 1.4-acre hillside vineyard. Grown at about 1,100 feet on volcanic, rocky soils, their estate Cabernet (with a touch of Petit Verdot) captures the rugged character of the mountain terroir. Consistently praised by critics for its bold, dark fruit and firm tannins, their wines often earn scores in the low 90s, cementing their reputation for crafting expressive, structured Napa Valley Cabernet.
