2024 Domaine Gros Noré Bandol Rosé
91
Vinous
Review Date: 07/2025Of all the Bandol “heavy-hitters” tasted in this report, the 2024 Rosé from Domaine du Gros’ Noré is the most overt and dialed up. Broad-shouldered and layered with buckets of ripe nectarine, toasted almond, white cherry and an undercurrent of rosemary and thyme, the 2024 is very much an in-your-face Rosé. That said, it’s extremely well done within the style, though the alcohol pokes through a bit on the finish, knocking the balance off by a hair. (BN)

Domaine du Gros ’Noré remains one of the jewels of the Kermit Lynch portfolio. Vigneron Alain Pascal crafts bold, expressive reds and precise, finely structured rosés. His Bandol Rosé—a blend of 54% Mourvèdre, 25% Cinsault, 19% Grenache, and 2% Clairette—showcases the region’s depth and potential. Though pale in color, with a delicate salmon hue, this is an explosive rosé with layered complexity. Notes of pamplemousse, seascape strawberries, wet stone, and honeydew melon abound.
