Named for the family's second generation winemaker, Cécile Chassagne took over the vineyard in Gigondas that had been originally planted by her father in 1974. This blend of Grenache, Mourvedre, and Syrah is made in a traditional method without destemming. A long fermentation in open-topped wood tanks is followed by aging the wine for four months in Allier oak casks. The resulting wine is a medium-bodied, meaty, and elegant expression of Gigondas terroir. The Cuvée Gabriele is the namesake wine of Cécile's son, Gabriele. It is a special selection that is aged longer in both cask and bottle before release.
