A pretty southern bubbly, light salmon in color, 2023 Crémant De Limoux Emotion Extra Brut Rosé is a 60/20/20 blend of Chardonnay, Chenin Blanc and Pinot Noir, made using the traditional method, with six months ageing on fine lees before being bottled for the second fermentation, giving it a further 24 months on laths before disgorging. Quite bubbly on serving, the sparkle soon becomes creamy and carries delicate, lemony aromas of coconut, autolysis, and brioche. The dosage is perfectly integrated, and this crémant will reveal its full potential with another year or two in the cellar. A perfect aperitif fizz. (BJ)

Though Eugénie remains Antech’s top seller, Emotion is the cuvée that is especially near and dear to my heart. This character-driven rosé transcends its price point and delivers some of the best quality-to-price ratio of any sparkling wine—across all categories. White cherry, Red Delicious apple, and a touch of raspberry unfold on a slightly fuller-bodied frame, carrying through with surprising length and presence on the palate. There is simply no other non-Champagne rosé that offers this level of character at this price point.

Sparkling Rose is normally on the pricey side which makes this one truly rare. It's nearly impossible to fine a Rose of this quality under $20. It delivers subtle red fruits, a low dosage and an unmatched complexity and value at the price. Great with or without food.

This is the kind of rose that instantly makes everything feel like summer! Bright strawberry, watermelon, and a touch of citrus zest glide across the palate, backed by a crisp, refreshing finish that keeps you coming back for another sip. It's light and energetic, and effortlessly drinkable, but still has just enough texture to feel polished rather than simple. A perfect grab for warm evenings, casual dinners, or anyone who wants a Proviçal-style rosé feel with a little extra charm.

Notes

Cuvee Emotion is a vintage Cremant de Limoux composed of Chardonnay, Chenin, Mauzac and Pinot Noir. It is hand harvested, and made in the traditional method, spending a minimum 18 months on the lees. This bubbly has notes of red fruit with light floral undertones. It captures the sunshine and energy of Southern France while coming in at a price that other sparklers can't touch. It is now produced as an Extra Brut style with less than 5 g/L of residual sugar.
