James Suckling
Reviewed May 2025A big, robust, warming wine from one of the brand's traditional single-vineyard sources in Dry Creek Valley. Broad, ripe and jammy. Full-bodied, saturated with blackberries, blueberries, black pepper and baked cherries, with soft tannins and a sense of sweetness. Drink or hold. (JG)

Wine Enthusiast
The return of this iconic dry-farmed Zin packs a wallop, with aromas of black cherry, plum, black pepper and cinnamon jumping from the glass on the nose. The palate feels broad and weighty, with flavors of spiced plum compote, raspberry coulis, purple flowers and clove washing from front to back in a wave. This will be best with a little patience. *Cellar Selection* (TRC)

Wine Spectator
Fragrant blackberry jam aromas lean toward refined flavors of raspberry, briar patch and savory pepper that gather richness and tension toward zesty tannins. (TF)
