Reviewed January 2025100% new wood, 50% whole bunches. Mid purple. Quite a backward nose, suggesting reserve with some concentration. The concentration is such that the oak barely shows, it certainly isn’t fighting the wood. The highly respected artisanal tonnelier, Eric Millard, has supplied three of the five new barrels. Really stylish wine with a great future. Strikingly long finish. Drink from 2033-2043. Tasted Nov 2024.

The 2023 Corton les Renardes Grand Cru includes 50% whole bunch and matured in 100% new oak. That new oak is neatly assimilated on the nose. Blackberry, wild hedgerow and light black tea scents unfurl in the glass, though it conveys restraint. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh and vibrant, with pliant tannins and a harmonious, finessed finish that lingers. This is another impressive offering from Anne Parent.(NM)

Note: 100% whole cluster and 100% new wood. Very generous wood and menthol influences fight with the otherwise fresh and attractively layered aromas of forest floor, the sauvage and ripe dark currant scents. There is excellent volume to the caressing and powerful larger-bodied flavors that possess good density, all wrapped in a firm built-to-age finale. This is very Corton in character and should age like it as well.
