Review Date: 01/2025Note: mostly from Les Clos with a small amount of Champs Pennebaut. A distinctly earthy and sauvage-suffused dark berry fruit nose complements the succulent yet very punchy middle weight flavors that also flash a borderline aggressive minerality on the youthfully austere, balanced and sneaky long finish. Lovely and I like the balance.

From Clos and Champs Pennebeaut. Ruby purple of medium depth. A little oak alongside the dark cherry fruit. Significant energy, especially to the back of the palate, necessary for the fruit to cover the tannins. A more structured wine than any of the Marsannays, with more than adequate fruit concentration. Drink from 2028-2031. Tasted Dec 2024.
Notes
Bill Nanson Burgundy Report: "Two parcels blended.A clean nose, more direct and focused. A structural wine, with a finely grained tannin – extra intense finishing – I love that – I could forgive the tannin too and drink it tonight – super villages Fixin."(02/2025)
