2024 Domaine Benedetti Cotes du Rhone Blanc

K&L Buyer
Review Date: 01/2026

Perhaps one of the most charming whites I tasted on my last visit to the Rhône, this blend offers generous notes of lemon curd, fresh-cut melon, and nectarine slices. While fruit-forward, a subtle touch of salinity keeps the wine beautifully balanced. The blend features Roussanne, Bourboulenc, Picpoul, and Ugni Blanc, showcasing the elegance and freshness of each variety.

Notes

Domaine Benedetti was founded in 1930 when Nicolas Benedetti emigrated from Italy to Châteauneuf-du-Pape and purchased land in his new region. Nicolas was followed by his son Noel and Noel's son, Christian. Christian was the first owner of the estate to stop selling wine to the cooperative and began bottling and selling his own wines. In 2000, the Domaine transitioned to organic farming and over these years has slowly expanded their holdings from just over a hectare each of Châteauneuf and Cote du Rhone, to 4 hectares of CDP and 10 hectares of Cotes du Rhone vineyards. In 2004, Christian's son, Nicolas, joined the domaine after studying oenology and is now overseeing all the winemaking. And finally, in 2021, we struck up a relationship with the Domaine and happily added them to our Direct Import portfolio. The Cotes du Rhone Blanc is a blend of Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Bourboulenc and Picpoul.
