2024 Domaine Benedetti Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc
91
Jeb Dunnuck
Review Date: 11/2025Based on 40% Roussanne along with 30% each Grenache Blanc and Bourboulenc and vinified in terra cotta jars, the 2024 Châteauneuf Du Pape Blanc offers sautéed golden apple, minty flowers, and spice notes. It's medium-bodied, clean, and balanced with nicely integrated acidity, and it shines for its fresher, vibrant, pure style. Drink this elegant white over the coming 5-7 years. Drink 2025-2032.

Notes
Domaine Benedetti was founded in 1930 when Nicolas Benedetti emigrated from Italy to Châteauneuf-du-Pape and purchased land in his new region. Nicolas was followed by his son Noel and Noel's son, Christian. Christian was the first owner of the estate to stop selling wine to the cooperative and began bottling and selling his own wines. In 2000, the Domaine transitioned to organic farming and over these years has slowly expanded their holdings from just over a hectare each of Châteauneuf and Cote du Rhone, to 4 hectares of CDP and 10 hectares of Cotes du Rhone vineyards. In 2004, Christian's son, Nicolas, joined the domaine after studying oenology and is now overseeing all the winemaking. And finally, in 2021, we struck up a relationship with the Domaine and happily added them to our Direct Import portfolio.
