The attack is supple and dense, with a full body, refreshing acidity and firm tannins that are velvety and refined. Still austere in the finish, with the potential for aging. Try from 2027.

All about youth and freshness, the polished 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo from Cordero di Montezemolo is lovely, starting with its heady fragrance of blue flower, red berry, dark spice and eucalyptus. Reflecting the nose, the elegant palate offers red cherry, pomegranate and star anise accompanied by lithe tannins. Drink through 2027. ( KO)

The 2023 Langhe Nebbiolo is an absolute delight. Crushed flowers, orange peel, cedar, cinnamon, sweet pipe tobacco and kirsch all grace this mid-weight, super-expressive Langhe Nebbiolo. All the elements are very nicely balanced. (AG)
