Part of Mastroberardino’s “Stilema” project focused on traditional, age-worthy Campanian whites, the 2019 Greco di Tufo Riserva is a powerful and deeply mineral-driven wine. The nose is intense and savory, with aromas of ripe yellow apple and pear skin, layered with notes of crushed almond, dried chamomile, and a signature smoky, flinty character derived from Tufo’s volcanic soils. On the palate, it’s structured and textural, with a subtle phenolic grip, vibrant acidity, and a core of savory fruit underscored by profound saline minerality. The finish is long, complex, and persistent. A serious, gastronomic Greco built for the cellar.
