The Macallan, one of Scotland’s most iconic distilleries, is renowned for its rich, fruity single malts and is among the world’s best-selling single malt whisky brands. Located on the Easter Elchies estate in Speyside, the distillery expanded in 2018 with a striking, modern facility carved into the hillside, increasing its still count from 14 to 36 and boosting production capacity by a third. Known for aging in Sherry casks, The Macallan now also uses Bourbon barrels and offers a wide range of whiskies across its Sherry Oak and lighter Fine Oak series, with expressions aged from 10 to 30 years.
