This 2016 Barolo from discovery is aromatically stunning red that offering classic notes of dried flowers, red cherry, and a touch of tar. The palate is intense and powerful, showcasing pure red fruit flavors layered with hints of savory spice and earth. Its structure is the main feature, with firm, gripping tannins and vibrant acidity that promise a long life ahead. The finish is exceptionally long and structured, indicating it will evolve beautifully for many years to come.

An amazingly stupid value! I'm still in shock over the price. Brilliant. So alive with leather, tobacco leaf, cranberry, orange peel, dark cherries. Classic. Elegant. Structured, Cellarable. Orazio has done such a excellent job with this series and this one just knocks it out of the ballpark. I really, really need to grab a few bottles once they arrive before all of our customers do. Waves of cherry and plum, dried lavender, sage, juicy blood orange and a hint of graphite. This is buttoned down a little, which tells me that that it's a candidate for the cellar. So much is tightly packed here but it's truly worthy of a place in your cellar or decant for a few hour prior to enjoying.
