Review Date: 04/2024The 2020 Riesling Brand Grand Cru is grown on granite soils from vines planted in 1972 in a parcel called Schneckelburg with more clay that helps to retain water. Bright, pure, lithe lemon is breezy and lifted on the nose. The palate is smooth, direct, stony, very clear-cut and luminous. The palate has a soft, lemony, balm-like vibe that would never make you think it was from a hot year. There is just a touch of pithiness on the extended finish. (Bone-Dry)(NM)

A rich and creamy dry riesling with plenty of apricot and orange fruit to fill out the full-bodied palate. This has a lively acidity that keeps the balance on track, but the finish doesn’t quite fulfill the promise of the nose. From organically grown grapes. Drink now.

This is a classic Alsatian Riesling with a touch of age on it. Aromas of petrol, stone, almond skin and citrus. The palate is lively with a touch of Jura-like reduction then an explosion of citrus and nut flavors. The acidity here is lively and the palate is complex with layer-upon-layer of beautiful fruit and mineral notes. This is easily one of the greatest white wine values in the store.

Email ScottAn amazing Riesling at a very fair price. The mouthfeel alone is worth the price of admission! It sits nicely on the palate with just the right amount of weight. Generous stone fruits, lemon meringue, juicy and mouthwatering citrus flavors. As with the mouthfeel, it also has just the perfect amount of petrol. It's there but, there is not much of it. Just enough to enhance the entire experience. As a bonus, it is also organic!
