The 2019 Gewurztraminer Eichberg Grand Cru is from vines planted in the Niedergrot lieu-dit in 1981. Mango and ripe banana are creamy and rich on a nose that is restrained for Gewurztraminer. The palate is absolutely juicy. Rose petal perfume frames orange pith that adds a lovely bitterness alongside almond, adding as much allure as pepper and nutmeg. The palate remains creamy with banana richness. This is gorgeously rich but balanced with an off-dry finish and 19 g/L of sweetness. That banana-mango combo lasts and lasts. (Off-Dry)(NM)
