The 2019 Riesling Estate was made from about 60% of grand cru grapes, essentially the young vines from Schoenenbourg and a tiny bit of Sporen plus old vines of the estate. It has an earthy, smoky nose with a touch of pineapple. The palate has already started to become more viscous, intensifying the pineapple note and refining it with ripe orange zest. This is a dollop of deliciousness, dripping with fruit but also zesty. Rounded, smooth, rich, yet focused. There are just 3.2g/L of residual sweetness - so this is beautifully dry. (Dry)(AK)
