The sample was pulled from the tronconic wooden vat in which it is housed, and stormy weather means that it is less clear than the other wines taken from tank or barrel. It’s a little bit oaky on the nose, but with a wealth of fruit on the palate, very typical of Montmains along with some reduction, that may be due to the lack of racking.
