A wonderfully fresh and bright nose combines notes of red pinot fruit, spice and a subtle hint of earth influence. The suave, round and equally bright middleweight flavors conclude in a refreshing, delicious and mildly rustic finale. To enjoy young.

In bottle. Mid crimson to purple. The bouquet is not particularly expressive after the bottling. Quite acid at the start so a slow malolactic and there is still a refreshing acidity behind. Quality cherry and perfumed strawberry fruit on the palate, with good length. Juicy and really quite interesting. Drink from 2025-2027.

The 2022 Bourgogne Rouge, which sees no new oak, has a bright nose with crunchy redcurrant and cranberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with a pliant entry, not a concentrated regional Pinot Noir, but I appreciate the balance and elegance of this wine. Recommended.(NM)

This is tangy, with spicy cherry, raspberry and boysenberry flavors, plus a hint of smoke. Vibrant and charming, this firms up nicely on the finish, where the fruit lingers. Drink now through 2029.

Email AaronJust a little touch of reduction on the nose, but nothing that'll ruin your evening or force you to quadruple decant something. There's fruit here but it's very dusky and pushing towards savory the whole way through, ending with dark and dusty notes on the edges with an almost blackberry core in the very center of things. This is a tasty and solid bottle of introductory Burgundy for someone, or just a nice bottle to pair with an easy meal during the mid-week, depending on who you are as a person.
