Wild strawberries, sappy flowers, pepper, and violets, with some subtle marine and iron-like nuances emerge from the 2023 Pinot Noir Seafarer, a gorgeous, medium-bodied Pinot Noir that's balanced, complex, and nuanced, with outstanding length. Aged 10 months in 24% new French oak, it will drink well for 7-8 years, but I love it today. Drink 2025-2033.

The 2023 Seafarer Pinot Noir is multi-vineyard blend. Pale to medium ruby-purple colored, it comes bounding out of the glass with eager to please notes of warm cranberries, fresh raspberries, and rose oil, plus nuances of cinnamon stick and lavender. The light to medium-bodied palate is so, so delicate and fresh with loads of bright red berry layers and a soft, seductive texture, finishing on a lingering fragrant earth note. (LPB)

Email AaronVery pretty and dense nose with dark and red fruits laying on top of rose petals, black cherry and raspberry quickly being overtaken by cranberry skin and pomegranate seeds. The palate starts out a little creamy and rich with ripe fresh pressed cherry juice quickly being overtaken by more tart and crunchy cranberry finish with a little bit of spice. There's a lot of great texture there besides the tannin, weighty and firmly pushing this into solidly medium bodied. This is a really delicious bottle of wine, something that is friendly enough that you can just stop and have a glass if you want, but with enough going on underneath that it's also a great food pairing for something like duck or a fatty roast chicken.
