A more broad, open style compared to the Les Eygats, the 2023 Cornas Champelrose reveals spicy red and black fruits, dried flowers, and peppery herbs on the nose. It's medium to full-bodied, with some classic Cornas meaty, gaminess, ripe tannins, and outstanding length. It's another beautifully layered, textured Cornas from the team at Courbis that has tons of character. I love it even today, yet it should evolve gracefully over the coming 15 years or more.
