Here we have a truly luxurious, single vineyard, Oakville Cabernet for under $25! That's almost $100 per bottle savings from the typical price point of Cabernet from this well known Oakville vineyard. Sitting on the valley floor in alluvial gravel soils, this is prime dirt for rich, lush, sophisticated Oakville Cabernet that is unparallel around the globe. This was an opportunistic bottling where I was offered the chance to buy a parcel of this wine for a ridiculous price and jumped at it. I mean on paper it looked too good to be true, but after tasting the barrel samples I was all-in with zero hesitation. We have a long history working with this winery and I already had absolute faith in their winemaking pedigree, but you know, trust but verify! The wine is bursting with suave and sophisticated ripe fruit, creme de cassis, crushed blueberry, graphite notes, luxurious toasted barrel spices framing the incredible purity of fruit. The texture is sublime; ripe, fine tannins, big lush texture, but also great freshness and lift from the exceptional 2023 vintage. This wine is stupidly good for the money. If we could tell you exactly what it is in the bottle it would probably be gone in 24 hours! But...if we told you what it was we would have to charge you for over $100 a bottle to protect the integrity of the brand. I know what my choice is. I'll let the wine do the talking, and emplore you to embrace the unknown, check this wine out, I'm confident it will impress. Just don't be too slow in reloading when you fall in love with it...it's a one time deal that won't be back.
