2024 Bedrock Sonoma Valley Sauvignon Blanc
94
Decanter
Review Date: 08/2025This is a Musqué selection of Sauvignon Blanc, mainly from the Bedrock Vineyard in Sonoma. 70% of the wine was fermented in large, neutral 'cigar' barrels from the Loire Valley; the rest in stainless steel. There was no malolactic fermentation, preserving the wine’s natural acidity and floral lift. The nose shows a mix of mineral and floral notes with unripe tropical fruit that recalls green mango, pink guava, and kumquat peel. The palate is textured and lightly creamy, likely from time in barrel, yet it finishes bright and fresh. (ACQ)

Made entirely from the more perfumed musqué clone of Sauvignon Blanc and partially aged in cigar barrels, the 2024 Sauvignon Blanc is a bright silver straw hue and offers a refreshing lift in its notes of quince, white peach, salted grapefruit, and lime cordial. Medium-bodied, it has a lovely, even feel with a refreshing, even finish. Drink it over the next several years. (AF)
