Very nice acidity on this one! Crisp orchard fruits with green apple, green pear, lime and refreshing minerals. Nicely rounded mid-palate that is offset at the beginning and at the end by spice and acidity. Quite perfect!

A nose that starts out really classic with that apple/pear drenched in lemon but then it takes a little turn and there's a soft matchstick and sandalwood and something distinctly mineral and linear. The palate has more fruit, with pineapple playing around with the apples and the lemons along with some quince before you get to the very saline finish, lengthy and pushing you to take that next sip and get the fruit back again. It's absolutely marvelous and definitely has the legs to lay down for a while, and I'm sure in a decade or so it will show the kind of pedigree from the terroir and the winemaking that is not commonly found. When it's made this well, an aged Chardonnay is a thing of great beauty. Now, I'm not saying don't drink this now, because it'll be hard not to, but if you do get it into your head to lay down half a case to try every other year for a while - it'll be a good idea. I promise.
