Reviewed July 2025Pouring a bright straw/yellow color, the 2021 Carricante is highly expressive and leaps from the glass with floral and savory perfume of fresh peach, tropical flowers, melon, and crushed stones. The palate is refreshing and medium-bodied, with its savory notes of dill and chive leading the way, along with even acidity and notes of salted citrus on the finish. It’s a highly compelling white with a lot of versatility for pairing, and it can also improve with age over the next 5-7 years. (AF) 93+

The 2021 Carricante is a beguiling white. Gentle in its contours, it is alluring right out of the gate. Lemon confit, white flowers, ginger and spice all grace this gentle, inviting white. The 2021 is an especially open-knit Carricante. Warm, dry weather softened the edges, adding to a palpable sense of immediacy. (AG)

Calling all wine geeks! When is the last time that you saw Carricante, let alone tasted one?! It's been years and years for me. Such a purty nose with white flowers and lemon meringue. On the palate, nicely tart with clean salty spice, key lime, tart green fruits and candied ginger. So much going on and so much deliciousness to entertain the palate.
